Don't forget all Sonic games actually came after Strider. You should say Sonic 2 is like Strider all over again... Some elements of early Sonic games are even flat out stolen from Strider. Compare the falling bombs and rotor blades sprites from Sonic and Knuckles in and around the Flying Battery Zone with what's found on Srider's stage 2. Tell me they are not the same sprites only slightly modified. Bad Sega bad.
