Barack Obama is lying about "comprehensive immigration reform"

When the president gave a speech at American University about our illegal immigration problem and his ideas about solving it, he left out several key points. In fact, in an effort to sell the American public on something it doesn't want, he omitted and glossed over several facts intentionally.

@msdivaatta I'm sure you're right. A couple years ago I heard a presentation in Phoenix featuring a retired border patrol guy who had had some sort of supervisory position. He said the actual number was closer to 25 million.

I don't see any comprehensive immigration reform bill going to Congress anytime this year. How do you feel about the bill receiving bipartisan suppport next year or to at least to some of the undocumented, like those that would qualify for a Dream Act? For some completely off the topic, Sam, are voting for Whitman or Brown? or to a 3rd party candidate like Nightingale?

@danielcortega Neither amnesty nor the DREAM Act (smaller amnesty) is going to succeed LEGISLATIVELY, if ever, for another 12 to 15 years. Reason: Voters most statistically likely to oppose "comprehensive immigr. reform" are 65 and older. For the idea of legalizing illegals to succeed, those people need to die off (and be replaced by people more likely to accept rewarding criminals w/ citizenship) / As for the CA Gov. race, I'll vote for a 3rd party candidate, but certainly not Nightingale.

Good points. Not to mention our infrastructer is not designed nor prepared for this influx of illegals. This is already hurting our electrical grid but is also hurting our sewer systems, water reseviors and an already overburderend medical and education systems. These illegals contribute nothing but want everything.

Obama doesn't care about Arizona citizens. He doesn't care about popular opinion. He doesn't care about all the problems wrought by illegal immigrants. Obama just cares about the three things all politicians care about. Getting reelected, getting reelected, and getting reelected. With midterm elections around the corner he only cares about Democrats getting the Latino vote. Lest he lose the House and/or the Senate.

@DerailAmnestydotcom voters might oppose but we know well that politicians sometimes don't vote as their constituents might. Through some back-door-dealing and other gestures, it could happen, right? Many didnt think a Civil Rights Act was gonna be sign in the 60s or that Obamacare was gonna have enough votes. In CA last year a budget was passed w/ minimal GOP support. And what's up w/ Whitman and Fiorina pandering to Latinos? Most Spanish-speaking Latinos dont vote.

Their plan is to get the illegals to pay taxes, then they can argue "taxation without representation" in court, and next thing you know they will be voting in 2012!
