@TheRedSandwitch - Maybe. But don't ask me to play any Korn licks....

Hey man, I dig and love your reviews on everything, but I am curious if you will do a review on the Ibanez SR Prestige SR5005E? I CANNOT find that bass In Austin, San Antonio, or Houston area here in TX.

You can get a used Fodera for 4-5k.

@BassGuitarMag You always so humble ED!

@BassGuitarMag yeah its not the same, since Alain plays it much more faster, but i thought you were doing it slowly to show better the slap sound, couse the fast stuff sometimes looses the pure sound, couse of all the percusive sounds. I guess amazing bass players share a consciousness then. Nice reviews btw, a hug from Argentina.

@BassGuitarMag Thanks Ed! It is clearer now. :)
First song is D-Code from the great Alain Caron. For those wondering that.

@bustabo23 - Really? I've never heard that song. I guess I must have lifted that lick through some sort of psychic ability. It's just a funk blues in D... but I'll check out Alain's thing to see if I really did steal it.

@bustabo23 - Okay, I just checked out D-Code. It IS similar in that we both use a Dm voicing but that's all. Alain's tune is MUCH cooler!

Any tips for slapping with a narrow string spacing? :)
riccaliolio 2 months ago
@riccaliolio - Don't use too much finger.

@BassGuitarMag Thanks Ed! But...could you expound just a little bit? :)

@riccaliolio - Don't try to stick your entire finger in between the strings for popping. And keep your thumb as parallel to the string as you can for slapping to avoid hitting the wrong string. Or... get a bass with wider spacing.
