That must have been some pretty advanced stuff for 1986 (the touch screen).

I had a tan 92 toronado trofeo it was mint and then a 90 dark red toronado trofeo which was also in very good condition. I loved them overall but in the long run I spent more than I got out of them. It took me a long time to admit too myself that for durability and reliability Honda and Toyota are the only way to go! I still have a 91 gta and a 92 z28 but I only drive them on sunny days, that's the only way most gm cars hold up :(

i had a park avenue it was ok.

I still have two Toronado's and an Eldorado from this high tech era and they have been very reliable. Most gliches that pop up go away.
the electronic and electrical systems in these cars are complex but easy to fix once you understand how they communicate with each other.
if you have one start stocking up on the computers

It's a shame this type of touchpad driver information center can not be present on modern cars versus the clumsier navigation arrangements they have.

What is everybody talking about? I love older gm cars also but lets be honest, most of the gm cars like this one had nothing but problems! Your right this car was way ahead of its time, but maybe that's why cars like the riv or toro had nothing but electrical problems
