@youwinmagic The grabbers can enhance the show in this case. Dont sweat the chance you will get caught. If it happens move on to another trick. This trick is good to put in with a tired old standard trick to spice things up. Play up the fact that you could mess the trick up while the tie is growing with every nervous tug pretending to be really nervous. The chance of a really funny & amazing reaction to from your audience are worth the chances you'll be taking. Thats a part of magic man.

@neko2808 Well said. I was the same way my first couple of years performing. Now I keep control of the situation & keep them involved with good patter & humor & dont worry about it in a show even if someone grabs or shouts something that can reveal. A good experienced magician can move on or work through it and have enough confidence in the rest of the show or other tricks you have even if someone rarely messes up one routine.
