These flagellates were particularly abundant last Summer in a swamp in our forest. I have them in culture now and they keep on going ... and going.

  • now that is a hq video!

  • I just love the peranema in 0:02. They're like the 2rd flagellate species that came into my little culture of microorganisms. If a new species comes along, they're welcome. But when things go wrong, I just sit there and watch them die and it's back to stage one: bacteria and dinoflagellates then stage two: Chilodonella, Vorticella and Diatoms then Stage three: Paramecium and Amoeba and so on and so forth.Hehehehehe.

I feel sad when humans, animals and protists alike die so don't rate me bad.

  • i am in love with this

  • i guess the flagellates noticed the camera and wanted to be in the spotlight :o
