On 2nd May 2009 Battle of Britain Steam Loco 'Tangmere' carrying 'The Royal Wessex' headboard, became the first steam engine to bring a train to Swanage from London since 1967. The historic moment was captured by Phil Brown (lineside shots) and Andy Weeks (Swanage Shots).
