Muslim Congressman Andre Carson, "America Schools Should Be Modeled after Madrassa's & Use Korans"

Rep. Andre Carson (D-IN), the Muslim congressman who once said that the Tea Party would "love" to see black Americans "hanging on a tree," made another controversial statement during a May 26 speech.

Speaking about the American education system, Carson told the audience that American schools should be modeled after Madrassas and touted the benefits of schools that use the Koran as their "foundation."

The Merriam-Webster online dictionary defines a Madrassa as: "a Muslim school, college, or university that is often part of a mosque."

Madrassas in the Islamic world are often associated with the teaching of radical Islamic theology that leads to terrorism and hatred of the Jews.

Once again, one has to wonder how the left would react if a congressman has said that American schools should use the Bible as their 'foundation.'

My guess is that this would not go over well. But, Carson will most likely get a pass from the secular press.

I agree withe everything you posted. What I would add is the correlation between great islamic discovery (Islamic Golden Age approx 750-1500 AD) coincides great islamic conquests (caliphates). The Umayyad Caliphate of Cordoba in Spain (756-929-1031),

The Abbasid Caliphate (750–1258), The Fatimid Caliphate (910–1171), The Mamluk Caliphate (Bahri dynasty then preceded by Burji dynasty) (1250–1517).

Of all the inventions you cited, pray tell me which ones originated in what is now Saudi Arabia. None, zero, nada. Go read history, with the Golden period of Islam until 15th century, there won't be renaissance, and Europe would still be in dark ages. Algebra, Arithmetic, decimal system are gifts of Islam.
