The Corporation of Massey Hall and Roy Thomson Hall is thrilled to announce its 2010-11 concert season, showcasing a variety of genres and welcoming a wide range of internationally-renowned artists.
Season highlights include two classical music series: International Vocal Recitals, featuring the Toronto debut of soprano Angela Gheorghiu; and Virtuoso Performances, bringing Vienna Philharmonic with award-winning conductor Semyon Bychkov to Roy Thomson Hall. Michael Kaeshammer performs his first headlining show at Massey Hall and the Jazz @ Massey Hall series includes several legendary musicians in such groups as Chick Corea Trio, Wayne Shorter Quartet and Jazz at Lincoln Centre Orchestra with the incomparable Wynton Marsalis, who will all grace the Massey Hall stage. We are pleased to continue supporting some of Canada's most celebrated artists, Bruce Cockburn, Gordon Lightfoot, Paul Anka, Burton Cummings, Sarah Harmer and Barenaked Ladies in addition to critically acclaimed artists such as Chilly Gonzales, Bahamas, Royal Wood and Emilie--Claire Barlow who perform in the intimate settings of Queen Elizabeth Theatre and Glenn Gould Studio.
The Corporation of Massey Hall and Roy Thomson Hall is proud to present this season of exciting events and promises many more announcements in the months to come.
