What's a mobile bommie? Well, all the guests at Jewell Reef in 2011 found out what they look like. It's a school of thousands of GTs ranging from 20-40kg, just milling around on the surface in 500m of water out off the edge of the reef. There's a quick little clip from Glanville's gopro camera where you can watch the action.
The 3 weeks we spent at Jewell Reef in 2011 were simply spectacular, with everything from huge GTs, to big black marlin, spanish mackerel, and days catching over 100 coral trout, red bass and emperors in the shallows. Jewell Reef really lived up to expectations this year.
