This guy is fantastic! I wish I could have been around when this was new. The jazz age! Now it's the rap age. Boy, do I feel lucky.

Fantastic! An incredibly difficult piece. I've searched for the sheet music for years, do you mind me asking where you got your's from?
Haha, I love the outtakes. This is exactly how this piece makes all of us feel :D Great job with a devil of a tune.

Dear spitzfire1138, I have watched and admired your performances here on You Tube for some time. I'm glad you enjoyed my performance. I hope to put up more videos soon. I'm currently finishing up Arthur Schutt's "Piano Puzzle" (which I deem to be exponentially more difficult in technique and in rhythmic complexity) and of course "Hobson Street Blues" is in progress as well. "Pianoflage" is on the way... yes sir there is much work to be done. Thanks again!!! Cheers

Nice job!
I tried learning this piece myself and pretty much gave up because it is so difficult.

I think the main difficulty in the piece above all, is the physical endurance required to play it! The repeat of the A section numbs your fingers and forearms, which makes it astronomically more difficult to accurately execute the intricate melodic passages in the following C section. Thank you for your compliments! Never "give up", this video was recorded 'only' 1.5 years of practicing almost every day over and over again, and it's still not perfect. So no worries and thanks for watching!
