China recently surpassed the United States as Brazil's largest trading partner, forming an economic partnership that leaders from both Beijing and Brasilia like to boast about.

The relationship has seen Brazilian exports more than double and the economies of both countries boosted.

But as low-cost Chinese products begin to flood the Brazilian market, some Brazilian fishing companies have complained that they cannot compete.

Al Jazeera's Gabriel Elizondo reports from Vigia, Brazil.

  • @GalaticSpaceHero Unless the Brazilian people can stop free trade in their country. Asia will completely dismantle every industry in Brazil. The goal of free trade is a common global wage. If free trade exists, eventually equilibrium in wages, lifestyles and living standards will be reached. That is the goal of the IMF and World Bank.

  • @louiethegreater they work $1 day and cup rice

  • @MTSK56 yea my clothes was made by some 9 year old kid working sweat shop for .10 cents hr i feel sorry for them

  • @RamirezRobertoPerez its nothiing USA we lost about 50 million positions while Chinese propaganda say we gain 2 million. the business goes China. Need raise cost fuel and raw materials to them offset lost revenue.

  • @EvilCommunistChina right on! the Chinese are cheap ! cheeeeeeaaap.

  • Cost of Chinese goods are fucking cheap because, they do not follow any compliance or rule. They take shortcuts, they eliminate details that can create cost. Their farm grown fish is GMO and definitely unhealthy to consume. However traders look at different way. They see the huge profit margin and prioritize china goods. However those traders wont consume such goods after seeing how they have been made.
