Till the End of Time [Chapter 13 Part 3]

BRYNN: Okay, that is really...

*She is interrupted by the doorbell.*

PAIGE: *Exasperatedly.* Oh my gosh, what is with you people and early mornings?

*Paige gets out of bed and walks downstairs to get the door. Brynn and Gabrielle look at each other confusedly for a moment, before following her. Upon entering the front hall, they see Paige standing in the doorway, staring at the ground.*

PAIGE: Um, guys, come look at this.

*Brynn and Gabrielle walk over, wondering what Paige is staring at. When they reach the door, however, they see quite clearly. On the doormat are three red roses, each tied with a nametag. Gabrielle picks up the one that says her name on it, while Paige and Brynn do the same. They bring the roses inside and close the door silently. Finally Gabrielle speaks.*

GABRIELLE: Who are they from?

BRYNN: I have no idea!

PAIGE: Well I think I might know.

*Gabrielle and Brynn turn quickly to face Paige.*

BRYNN: Who?!?

PAIGE: Well, they might be from Jesse. But why would he give you two flowers, also? I mean, no offense, but you barely know the guy!

GABRLELLE: Jesse as in the-one-who-cheated-on-you-Jesse?

PAIGE: Yes. Um, I didn't get a chance to tell you, because I got home so late last night, but we're going out again. He apologized, and I forgave him, because he promised to never cheat on me again.

*Gabrielle and Brynn both had seen this situation before, and every time Paige had gotten hurt. Not wanting to upset her, however, they said nothing.*

PAIGE: So I guess Jesse might have sent these. Or, wait. Gabrielle, could it be that Jacob kid?

GABRIELLE: Well, we only went out once, last night, but maybe. Would he have been able to talk to Jesse and plan this?

PAIGE: I am not sure. But that still wouldn't explain why Brynn has one too. Or is there something you aren't telling us?

BRYNN: Nope. I am boy-free at the moment.

GABRIELLE: Giggling. Yes, "at the moment" are the key words there.

BRYNN: Hey!

PAIGE: So then who could have sent you the flower, Brynn?

BRYNN: I have no idea.

*Gabrielle was examining the flower again, and staring at the little tag with her name on it. She turned the tag over in her hands, trying to see if she recognized the handwriting. She didn't. She did, however, see three words written on the back of the name-tag: CHECK THE MAIL.*
