Great stuff. I'm glad to see he's still around. Enjoyed this as a 6 or 7 year old. The only thing negative I could say about him is that he was an extreme hater of rock & roll (I wonder if he still is?). But, none the less he was/is great, and I wish him the best.

kids loved it too. this was an amazing program for kids who loved to sing. mitch miller's christmas albums were excellent as well.

At the time only 3 networks were around and this was the most "feel-good" formula television could offer to the older radio generation. I'm sure it was as effective as those little 10" goldfish bowl screens could deliver.

Allan Sherman did a great spoof on the song "Five Foot Two" entitled "Eight Foot Two, Solid Blue" about a female Martian.

Hilarious.

And yes, Mitch Miller was fabulous.
