@kitfistonator he dosent have his hat because in the beginning of POTC 2 his hat blows off his head and then a fishing boat gets it then the fishing boat is attacked by the Kraken Thennnnnnnn at the end of the movie right when jack is going to be eaten by the kraken his hat flys out of its mouth back at jack
(if you watch the "I got a jar of dirt" videos you will see he has no hat)
but he does look better with the hat.... lol
