  • If someone told me: "-You can drive any car in the world around a track for one day" I would without a doubt pick this one. The legendary Lotus 98T insane turbo monster, once driven by the absolute best racing car driver in all of history.

  • Unbelievable. In race trim these cars were virtually uncontrollable, in qualifying they were a living nightmare. But every time, this man seemed to do the impossible and tame the untamable beast for just long enough to show he was king. Senna has never and will never have an equal.

  • Sounds like hell! Amazing how Senna was able to make that car dance all over the track even though the rear tires are as wide as a bloody house!

  • @F1000X I think that's very arrogant of you. I don't disagree with you of how good he was because I agree with you he was the best of his time. But there have been greats throughout the ages and no one of them can be determined as the best they all drove very different machines and Fangio and Ascari could not drive todays cars to the level Alonso and Vettel do and vise versa. In my opinion he has equals and will have people surpass him.People thought Stewarts 27 wins wouldn't be passed MSC - 91.

  • Just beautiful to watch this. Thanks so much

  • Beautyful Track.

In modern F1, Hermann Tilke build primary F1 Highways without heart.

  • 1:27 Incredible Drift!

  • @wandererslegion Me too. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE this car .

  • @Honas21 yeah, you are spot on, Piquet was my favourite driver at the time.Given that i started watching F1 in late eighties, i missed a bit on Piquet's best form.Nonetheless, nowadays, looking back at all those years 80-90's i dare to say Piquet was truly the biggest rival, in terms of skill, that Senna had...and if memory serves me well, he was as smart as Senna in terms of having a sixth sense in terms of chosing the best chances to be aggressive

Look at this: pure car control !!!

  • I would have loved to see Aryton drive around my local track, Brands Hatch. He was a man with a lot of experience of the circuit. In his days of Formula Ford 1600 there were many heats but not many tracks, this meant that he raced the same track many times, and he raced Brands Hatch five times a season and he had learnt it well. It is truly amazing to see him racing in that Lotus JPS, especially with his iconic yellow helment, only making the car look more beautiful. Truly fantastic.

  • @lostwill86 Here's a quote :"It is generally accepted that the Renault EF15 produced between 1,200 bhp (890 kW) and 1,300 bhp (970 kW) at 5.5bar boost".

I'm not talking about who's a better driver. Senna is the best ever. I'm saying check the committment, tyre positioning, attitude of the cars, and the depth at which Piquet exited corners. It's incredible.

Dude the guy won 3WC, could have won 81 & 86. 23 odd pole and about the same fasterst laps....He can drive!
