Tyler Wyatt walking with his mommy and Ryan. Tyler has a rare brain malformation called Schizencephaly. Secondary to that, he has Cerebral Palsy. He can do a lot more than this. This day wasn't a very active day for him.

  • My daughter also has Schizencephaly. She seems to walk exactly like him, with the tense legs and the toes flexed. How old is he? My daughter will be 6 months on July 28th. I wish you the best.

  • He will be turning three on Sep. 25th. Yeah, because of his CP, his muscles are tight. He also has really strong reflexes. He is currently working on separating them so that he can do things like crawl or grab for a toy easier. His brain is still getting them confused. So he does the wrong one or more than one at the same time.

Thank you. I also wish you and your daughter the best of luck. God Bless! :)

  • My dear Emma (3 years old) also has Schizen, with seizures keep happening. However, Emma still could not lift up her head, just lying on bed. But, she's growing beautifully.

Would you pls advise and share what kind of theraphy to make Tyler stronger in head and finally walking?

    Helda

  • I'm glad Emma is growing beautifully. :) Ty hasn't had seizures yet. We are still watching for them though. How are Emma's like? I honestly can't explain the therapies I do with him. I have them all on paper that tell me how to do it, with pictures. They also explain what they help and what they're for. How many times a week to do them. If you would like, I can send them to you. They help so much! Soimething that really helps is that I massage his entire body throught the day, every single day.

  • My 2yr 8mth baby boy has the same diagnosis and his reflex and walking style are the same too. So miracle to see another one like him.
