John Lennox is a good and brave man. I love him. Lots of love from a fellow theist, though not a Christian.

@Tertiffic so when the Israelites were committing genocide on the orders of your god, were they being obedient or disobedient to said god? When stoning people to death for not remembering the sabbath and keeping it holy, were people being obedient or disobedient to your god? Is strapping one's child down to an altar and putting a knife to its throat being obedient or disobedient to your god? Is suffering a witch to live being obedient or disobedient to your god?

Dawkins commits what is known as the genetic fallacy. Simply stated, the genetic fallacy suggests how you came to a belief is the basis to how we credit a belief. This is completely false, anyone of us here could have been born in ancient rome and thought the world was flat and in the center of the universe! Where we were born and when is irrelevant, you have to ask is the world flat? Are we at the center? How we come to an idea does not determine the credibility of the idea!

You guys need to watch the entire debate. Not to be whatever, but Lennox absolutely did not soundly win this debate - I would certainly say he lost, having watched the whole thing. At the least, he didn't win.

That snippet of the debate was interesting, the way how Dawkins said it came down to the resurrection, well if that be the case why didn't he write a book instead called the 'Jesus delusion'?

@ifzadra you have your belief and I have mine. It is ok not to agree on everything. The problem is when u use words like deluded people and saying we don't use our brain properly make it hard for me to understand your point. It's to much emotion in your comment so that makes it feel almost not worthy of a response
@ndzoko It's important to remember that when making a judgement about a belief, you simply can not judge it by its abuse. I absolutely agree that many Christians have done terrible things in the name of Christ and it appalls me. Yet the fact is, what they did was in direct disobedience to God and goes against everything Jesus said and did. Their actions were not in keeping with their beliefs. Stalin's actions were very much in line with what he believed, and that should scare you.

@ndzoko Why are you so angry at God if you do not even believe that He exists? That is like being angry at your car for not wanting to start but you do not think you own a car.
