@fani5000 (Continuing...) I base this on what my friends in those countries have told me over the past 10 years or so. However, the Nanny state is not a new idea. Essentially this is what monarchs are supposed to do. Government of and by the people, however, is very new! The United States was founded on a very radical idea, which I'm sorry to say is being pissed on today, and it's a damn shame.

The constitution was written in the colonial period, that much is true, and it does reflect those times. However, the ideas within it, freedom, liberty, justice, etc. are unique, and as Ron Paul says himself quite new. There are countries that do very well, which are effectively Nanny states, e.g. Denmark, Norway and Sweden. Taxes are very high, but the people, for the most part, feel that the government takes good care of them (to be continued...)

Obama should be tried as being a traitor to the American people. His presidential oath to follow the American Constitution was hollow, a smoke-screen, .... standard lip-service for the day. Wake up Americans. You are being "slaved-out". Break those invisible-chains that are binding you down. Your money is being stolen by the Government and the FED, the erosion of your freedom/liberty had started a while ago. Consider Ron Paul's consistent message during all these years.
