  • @rodneyrepapipz

No. This lens has internal focusing, so there shouldn't be any moving parts on the outside.

  • will the focus ring of this lens rotate when its on autofocus mode??

  • @JjuSstiNn47 you wont get any sound while recording because you cant auto-focus while recording, you can only use manual focus

  • vr lenses have a high pitched sound... could it be that? squeaking could also be that the plastic is abit tootight :D

so when focussing, plastic parts rub against each other and hence the sound. dont worry.

  • My 18-105 lens has the same faint squeak . You think is a problem or is normal?

  • My similiar lens gives a very faint squeak when using the autofocus, but I can't really hear if your lens has the same sound, so I guess I have to ask you instead.

Have your 18-105 a faint squeaking sound when autofocusing?

  • there won't be any noise since you can't use auto focus in video mode

  • awesome! thanks! well, it should be quiet for the D90 since you wouldn't want any of the camera noise while recording video

  • Awesome, keep up the good work!
