Still can't believe Stanley Appel was producing TOTP at the age of 60, a few weeks away from his BBC pension. As late as 1993, Radio 1's controller and TOTP's producer had *both* grown up before rock'n'roll!

They used Yellow Pearl, The Wizard, and Tony Gibber's theme has been used in 1991 and then again in 2003.
