@CantinaCobra Thanks for watching! Dowdy understood that YouTube postings are a good thing and encouraged it. Too bad the local All Region coordinators still think that they have the power to deny me my first amendment right to shoot these rehearsals - next year when Jewell is not in the orc (she is graduating) I plan to make a stand. Will get stinky, but I'm tired of being pushed around by clueless people who don't understand the Constitution or 1st amendment case law.

It's great to hear that there are still some great high school musicians in El Paso. I was principal clarinet in the region orchestra in 2004. I think it sounds fantastic!

The most important thing for the students is an audience - if you are still in el paso, or visit, Please Please go to the El Paso Symphony Youth Orchestras concerts. I know you will enjoy them. Keep tooting on that clarinet!

@chaoticplay10 I went to the rehearsals and tried my best, but the director never led the group through anything long enough to cobble together into anything worthy of posting. Also, it was before I got the new camera. I did record the entire impromptu Zuill Bailey Bach trio, but I can't post that without Zuil's permission. Sorry ... hopefully next year.

@xAznessx I appreciate criticism delivered without a spirit of meanness. I like it that you are proud of your orc's accomplishments. I agree there are some intonation problems - but I hear intonation problems even when listening to major symphs like NYP or CP. Please post some vids of your orchestra so that we can listen.

Our symphony....we get the music in november then we have to practice because its like all state and we have to reaudition....so pretty much when u get to the rehearsal its just put together. lol well...our region is ...our region. Martin is 5th in state. Arlington is 9th in state... We got sweepstakes on UIL :D and this comment fails as an argument. xD

This is a rehearsal, yeah there's intonation problems, but when you have two one and a half days to put it together what more do you want
