Ancient Greek influence all over the world

In 1987 the University of Haidelberg published a book with the tittle:" Greek lingustic elements in the Polynesian languages - Greek Pacific" Writer was the German Nors.S.Josephson, who insists that there are more than 1000 Greek words in the Polynisian languages, result of influence at around 950 B.C, by.. ancient Greek coloners..Furthermore, the influence is so amazing that the way of living, the clothes, the ship constructions and the music even today, have so many similarities with the Greek. And not only in Melanesia,Polynesia but also in Easter islands .

Ο καθηγητής V.F.Lopez στα τέλη του 19ου αιώνα, μελετώντας την επίσημη 'βασιλική' γλώσσα των Ίνκας διαπίστωσε εντυπωσιακές ομοιότητες με την Μυκηναϊκή γλώσσα. Στο έργο του 'Les Races Aryenes du Perou' Αναφέρεται λεπτομερώς στα στοιχεία που συγκέντρωσε.

Το 1380 μ.Χ., ανακαλύφθηκε ο λεγόμενος "χάρτης του Ζήνωνος", στον οποίο φαινόταν οι χώρες του Αρκτικού κύκλου. Μάλιστα στον ίδιο χάρτη παρουσιάζονται όρη της Γροιλανδίας, που εμείς τα ανακαλύψαμε μόλις το 1947.
Το ίδιο ισχύει και για την Ανταρκτική, όπως απέδειξε η εύρεση του χάρτη που σχεδίασε το 1737 μ.Χ. ο Γάλλος ακαδημαϊκός Φιλίπ Μπυά. Σχεδίασε ένα χάρτη ως αντίγραφο πανάρχαιων Ελληνικών χαρτών. Στον ίδιο χάρτη, η Ανταρκτική παρουσιάζεται να αποτελείται από δύο νησιά, πράγμα που ανακαλύφθηκε μόλις το 1958.

Η ανακάλυψη των χαρτών του Πιρί Ρέις δείχνει ότι οι αρχαίοι Έλληνες γνώριζαν όλο τον κόσμο.
Σημαντικό επίσης να σημειωθεί, είναι ότι οι χάρτες αυτοί έχουν σχεδιαστεί με την μέθοδο της Γεωγραφικής προβολής, που υποτίθεται ότι εφευρέθηκε τον 20ο αιώνα. Οι αποστάσεις που αναφέρονται μεταξύ Ευρώπης, Αφρικής και Αμερικής, έχουν μεγάλη ακρίβεια. Οι αποστάσεις αυτές, μετρήθηκαν τον 18ο αιώνα. Πάνω στους ίδιους χάρτες, φαίνονται οι περιοχές κάτω από το Νότιο παγωμένο Ωκεανό -όπως θα ήταν χωρίς τους πάγους-, οι οποίες ανακαλύφθηκαν τον 18ο αιώνα. Παρουσιάζουν επίσης την Ανταρκτική η οποία ανακαλύφθηκε το 1830, σημειώνοντας τα βουνά της με τα ύψη τους που ακόμα και σήμερα δεν έχουν υπολογιστεί.

This video makes several mistakes regarding place names given after European colonization began after Columbus "discovered" (I'll nog expand on that here) America. And just because things look alike (the comparison between Mykines and Andean sites) doesn't mean they are of the same source. Furthermore the Andean examples date from much later. However, we do know of contacts with China and India (so Polynesia and Melanesia aren't much of a stretch).

@panosfye Let's not get carried away. By definition, Western civilization - which you disparage so much - IS Greek civilization. Look at the basic values: democracy, individual rights, rational thought, questioning of ideas.... Where do you think those came from? But I agree with you on this: the more rational thought in our existence, the less war and misery there will be. The Greeks didn't solve our problems; they put us on a path that we must continue.
