National Express East Coast - The Franchise Lost?

Just after the completion of this video, Ray O Toole - New MD of NXEC- has said that the franchise is not going into Government hands, he said that if this climate continues, they will hand the franchise back in the summer! Confused? I certainly am. He said that he thought that Lord Adonis had jumped the gun.
Personally I beleive the franchise has been lost.

first great western was the worse comany years ago an recently it done a 180 an became the best intercity of all intercity lines i rekon they could pull the same trick with ease.
or how about o2 taking over or tesco an call it ''Tesco every little helps for the east coast'' haha

Even if I'm American, I think British Rail should come back to take care a business on every passenger train in the nation because privatization screws up everything. In the US we have a nationalized passenger railway called "Amtrak". The US government wants to screw up Amtrak by privatizing it. Countries like Germany, Russia, France, and Japan did a good job taking care of thier nationalized network by operating it & never let companies take over thier network.
