I read somewhere or heard from a source that the Bay Area is responsible for 75% of Hip Hop slang! That's crazy! But I see it. I'm from Philly, and went to school in Oklahoma, the southwest. Everyone there was saying 'dog', and no sooner than I got back to Philly, it seemed like everyone was saying 'dog'. We probably can't recite an entire song from E 40, Mac Dre or Spice One, (I can) but we certainly repeat their slang on the reg.
