Im not saying that gas cant push a v12 engine, you could push a v24 engine for all anyone cares, but the point is that a v8 can perform just as well, with the kw/d+weight ratio becasue the whole purpose of this is to increase milege for a better future, If you decide to use a larger engine it nearly negates the purpose of getting better milege, v8 would be the limit for the size because its more practical

  • @tsunayoshi987

Gasoline can produce enough power to push a v12? Are you joking?

It wouldn't matter if it was a v-16 or a v-18, gasoline can always push them.

Get the weight of the Crank, and the pistons, the length of the rods, thats how you determine.

The size of the fuel injection or carburetor falls into play as well.

  • I have to admit this is a really smart design, now they should change the spark plugs into smarter ones and use a hydro booter to get maybe around 150mpg for the same performance or better, and dont forget that nitro to grab that quick 500hp boost

dude not cool, all cars have good and bad, but clearly both you guys dont understand the physics behind any kind of car, weight reduction isnt the only thing that comes into play in the engines performance.

  • @TriangularFilms

this is not techicvally true the energy to weight ratio is just more effective with a v8 engine, however fuel/gas can not produce enought power to push a v12 however the more cylinders you have the more potential you will always beable to create however once you start hitting v10 the engine starts to neead a large amount of fuel just to move the vehicle, this is the only reason why v8 engines can out perform many v10s

  • The oil companies are standing in line to invest in a project that will put them out of business....not !

  • @carbonamigo

    V8 vs V12 CID per cylinders = V12 is a joke!

  • @carbonamigo

A little FYI, a v8 can put out just as much horsepower as a v12 with proper mods and parts. Its all how you build the engine up.

  • v8 is a joke compare to v12

  • i'd like to have one engine to go, how much?
