@TheEljohara ... be cautious in words, only we need prayers of Prophet all the times, Prophet don't need prayers of sinners like us. From birth of deviant Wahhabism in 18th century to recent past it was an act of worshiping grave other then God if one raises hands for prayer while facing grave. @TheEljohara ... according to Quran Allah is showering His unique blessings upon Prophet Muhammad (SallallahuAlaiheWasallam) every moment & His countless angels reciting durood shareef every moment, by reciting Durood we pray to Allah to send those unique blessings on Prophet on our behalf so we also have share in this esteem practice & be rewarded. Whether we recite Durood or not Allah will continue His practice eternally, Prophet dont have need of our Duroods,its us who need to recite.
