@glower125 Yusuf Estes says the 'spies' are the ones that you can't tell the difference between them and a real brother. As a convert I have been treated rudely and with skepticism and I am just trying to learn about islam. I don't think Allah wants us to treat each other like that.

I hate that our government and other groups do this sort of horrible thing to innocent people. It's disgusting and it only serves to hurt people, good muslims turn away converts because they are wary that they are not sincere and these new muslims who need guidance don't find support.

I think you are reinforcing paranoia, muslims are already paranoid of newcomers and sometimes they're cold or unwelcoming with people who have a sincere interest in Islam or are converts.

I was in a masjid, we were just three of us. one of the guy suddenly started the conversation about Musharraf (then Pakistan's president) and the US and relationship of US, Pakistan and how it should be. etc. I pulled my friend away from there before he would say anything against the US.
