The Cannibals - Slow Down - New Merlins Cave - 1979

In 1979 a fan of the band, Johnny Chubb, bought a video camera. He took it to a Cannibals gig at New Merlins Cave in Kings Cross, NW London. This is a part of an hour from that gig. This is a 3rd generation copy. I have a 2nd generation copy of the whole gig...somewhere! Johnny, if you can hear me, let's have a chance to get a beter copy of the original!

This is the very first known live footage of the Cannibals.

In the audience are 2 future Cannibals, Mike McCann and Clive Leach. In the Cannibals then are Adam Blake, guitar left, Gary Stannard on drums, Jeff Mead on bass and Johnny Walker on guitar right. Mike Spenser is trying to sing...
