The Sowers are truly amazing musicians. Fusing contemporary East African Gospel grooves with traditional rhythms from Rwanda, D.R. Congo and Tanzania, The Sowers Group's vocal sound is as rich as their message is vital.

Presented by Translator Records and Compassion, The Sowers will soon take stages across Australia & New Zealand to share their beautiful East African harmonies and rhythms.

These guys have an astonishing personal story of escaping conflict and surviving war. They have moved from country to country -learning six languages along the way- in an attempt to leave behind the poverty of their upbringing and to inspire thousands with their music and message.
As children, Mike, Oswald and Kosto fled their hometown, Bukavu (D.R. Congo) to escape the wars. The boys grabbed what few possessions could be carried on foot and set out for a safe haven towards Kinshasa. Thirty days and more than 600km later, they found themselves deep in the Equatorial Jungle, injured and held at gunpoint praying for their lives.

Inexplicably, the bandits who held them up, executed others around them, but spared the brothers. The Sowers Group believe that they were delivered from death in order to encourage others through their story & song.

The African group are looking forward to showing off a brand new recording featuring their unique version of John Farnham's classic "YOU'RE THE VOICE"

Also performing with the group are Aussie guests: producer / keyboard player Andy Sorenson and drummer David Atkins.

In these times of great uncertainty, The Sowers Group visit our country with a timely & uplifting message. Their beautiful heart-felt songs of personal triumph bring the listener a message of great hope.
