It's easy to make your own colorful, dyed Easter Eggs. Use: 1-teaspoon vinegar to 1/2-cup boiling water for each color you wish to make. Add desired food color. (I use paste food colors.) Slowly dip your hard-boiled egg into the mixture. Roll egg around if the egg sticks out a bit. This helps evenly coat the egg with color. Remove the egg when the desired color is achieved. Place in egg carton to dry. YOu can shine your eggs with a dab of olive oil if you wish.

  • Glad you found the information helpful.

  • Some people have asked me how to make the perfect hard-boiled egg. It's EASY. Put your eggs in a pot. Cover with at least 1-inch of water. Bring the pot to a boil. Then cover & remove from heat. Set a timer for 19 minutes. When the timer goes off, drain the water and run cold water in the pot. You'll get perfect eggs everytime -- no soft boiled eggs & no over-cooked green eggs.
