automated systems in which derivative compounds generate value, as opposed to the physical, underlying plants themselves. For example, morphine, heroin, cocaine, synthetic cannabinoids, research and development of patented cannabinoid treatments -- all Frankenstein products. I think that we will never live to see the legalization of cannabis unless there is regime change because it would destry entire value spheres that have become entrenched

@bloodsord9 i don't think the cartel's would give up such a profitable industry like that. 3 marijuana dispensaries have already been shot up by drug dealers.
marijuana could be profitable for the government if they put high taxes on it.

@zackzackvincent * bastards*, *southern* "flip shit and back lash with hate u " ?????
*once,*
you seem like the poster child for the democratic party.
there are racists everywhere. like you for instance you have a deep prejudice against southern whites, thinking them all to be racist. truth is, it might be ironic if the president was Jamaican, but he is not. a lot of pot is grown in the southern states BTW

I am working on a thesis about how economic relations in global political economy impose limits to socially-accepted psychopharmacology -- I respect that you pay attention to the long-term moral norms; however, I have to disagree with you somewhat, because I think the pressure against Obama to take the issue seriously is quite healthy, so both sides have their place. The use of psychoactives have gone from labor-based, physical connections, to commodification (snake oils, etc.) to automated

The feds just shut down, thousands of jobs, in Montana. In the name of the drug war. Maybe on a large scale, weed is not as big of an industry as the rest, like the debt industry. but it can have a real impact on the economy.

@x6mj and so can prostitution, but do you think the Christian Right will stand by and just let that happen? I think they may start a Holy War.
