I was just recently diagnosed and would like to thank you for sharing your story. It's been disappointing and surreal for me. I'm hoping to maintain a positive outlook. I'm so glad to see you've recovered.

I think youre beautiful! I am on day 91. It's an unfortunate blessing, I know what you mean.
I too got this while traveling.
Thanks for all the info.

i have it for 4 days b.p., you look soo beautiful, about your smile it looks great! so natural and the eye makes it more natural, one time a surgen m.d. told me that its so dificult to have a simetrical falce and imperfections give a face a more strong personality so be confident you look great!

Wow... you recovered almost 100%! I am happy for you :D I looked like your first video when I started and first diagnosed on April 30, 1980. I went thru many different treatments in the first 5 years then kinda stopped doing it afterward. Especially, after having consultation with top Ear, Nose and Throat surgeon in Beverly Hills in 1991 that even he couldn't help me look "almost normal" and suggested me against the surgery cos the money I would spend on the surgery wouldn't worth it!

I admire your strength congratulations :-)

I'm at 6 months and am pretty much at the same stage as you. I am still so self conscious about this. I feel like I will never be the same again.

gracias por tus videos me han ayudado a mi paralsis felicitaciones suerte
Your recovery videos were very interesting. I was diagnosed with Bell's Palsy May 2009. I woke up one Sunday morning with numbness on the left side of my face. My eye couldn't close either. Went to the hospital and was given a prescription for a steroid and was told it would go away. It took me about 2-3 months, but I did make a full recovery. Very miserable time for me, but I didn't let it get me too down. Bells Palsy won't beat you!

@miii42385 Your case was NOTHING... I had to deal with paralysis for a year... and not synkinesis, even 2 years later! Oh well... at least God made me cute! LOL
Have a great day! :)

I've glanced at about a half dozen of your videos - kudos for you for taking the time to document.
I'm now into my 9th month of BP. And this is my second time with BP. Last bout was over 15 years ago where I made a full recovery in 5 weeks.

@jschrauwen Your first bout with Bell's Palsy was a blessing. I have seen a similar case. Your current case seems more like the norm, however. Since I got sick with BP, I have discovered many other people who've had it, most of which have taken many more months to heal, then 1. You are NOT alone or ABnormal!
Hang in there! Recovery is happening day by day!
Thanks for sharing your story!!!

@NaniMorr Have you done anything to change your lifestyle? Perhaps you need to change something that causes you stress in your life!
Have you healed from each bout of BP?
