@yarosIaw No, this is untrue. A few important peaople inside the german airforce thought, this aircraft could solve our lack in air transport capability. That was in the ealy 2000. They pushed through to get allowed to visit Antonov at Kiew, and they came back whthout changing their mind. The problem in view of our politicians was too much corruption and crime in the Ukraine, so they decided to order Airbus to devellop our new air transporter.So far the official story.
