I literally grew up with Frankie. My grandmother was his personal secretary for over forty years and ran his fan club till her death. My father took care of his horse for him in the backyard. His songs still move me. I have them all.

@eojet That's right, where someone noted 1939 -2004 , RIP, it was about HIS granddad. Not Frankie's of course. My birthyear also 1939, lol. Thx for the comment

I was born in the same year...luckily I made it until now...so i can still bring back happy musical memories from the fifties, amongst which of course Frankie...
