  • This music beats the crap out of most modern music! Bring it back! Someone should make a movie called The Chronicles of Elric and add Hawkwinds music to it.

  • Blood and souls for my Lord Arioch.

  • ‘Chaos Army’ begins with motorik pulsing sonics and weird percussion, until it breaks into a riffing guitar for ‘Horn of Destiny’. Brock’s vocals are sung in trademark style The lead guitar swells and sporadic percussion are effective in the lengthy instrumental section. This is a concept album in the same spirit of classic Hawkwind of the 70s and is a welcome return to form. It is one to seek out though not easy to find. The search will be worth it as it is one of Hawkwind’s great 80s albums.

  • Many with madness in their eyes stare gibbering at the white-hot skies, foul birds circle overhead shadowing the living and the dead.

  • @odraconiandevil79 I so agree - with the CGI available now an Elric movie could be fantastic provided they got a decent director - sounds like a job for Peter Jackson...

  • @odraconiandevil79 I agree totally I have loads of the Hawkwind stuff (This is best on the chronicles Live album with double c.d and all the narration from Moorcock himself included) and I've read nearly everything in the Eternal Champion series the only one I have left is The Dreamthief's Daughter.

''There is a girlchild born of dreams, with Ruby eyes, whose flesh is snow whose substance seems, as strong as agony soft as lies....'' Read the rest of the poem if you can find it.
