tethering 3.1.2

Tethering 3.1.2 the easy way. No need to ssh into your iphone and mess with system files such as the commcenter. This will not work on the iphone 2g and will not work unless you have firmware 3.1.2 because of the package dependencies. One of the dependencies is to have the firmware 3.1.2 installed. If you have any firmware lower than that, the cydia package physically won't install. Comment, rate, subscribe :-)

UPADATE 3/7/10 : DO NOT UPGRADE TO 3.1.3 I DID AND IT TOOK A WEEK TO FIGURE OUT HOW TO GET BACK TO 3.1.2. VERY DIFFICULT!!!!! WILL LOSE TETHERING IF YOU DO. NO IMPROVEMENTS OVER 3.1.2.

it's called weathericon, and for some strange reason it doesn't work for me anymore as of last week. See if it works for you.

it works but i just forgot to set my city in the iphone's native weather app. if you don't, a question mark will appear where the temperature should be.

yea, wifi is a finicky iphone feature. The internal wifi module is very weak and unreliable, even in your own home. when my macbook has full signal bars the iphone only has one or two. wifi issues can be mostly solved by forgetting the network and then reestablishing connection, reset network settings, or doing a hard restart by holding down the the home and power buttons until the apple logo is showing. Hope this helps for future wifi issues.

@emt1023 You have to downgrade. It's not that hard to do if you have all of the proper tools. I was on ios4 and I successfully downgraded to 3.1.2.

@PuzzlePiecepromotion I haven't used it today yet but it has worked for the last two weeks. I've had to rely on the tethering since I moved and comcast is finally going to show up tomorrow to activate my services.
