300x Zoom - World's most powerful Optical zoom Panavision

This is a test clip from Panavision's 300x1 zoom lens. The most powerful continuous optical zoom lens in the world. The vision was taken with the concept lens & the production lens is of far higher quality - full Broadcast HD. For some reason the end telephoto vision in this clip is a little soft - that's adding to the heat waves due to the massive magnification. The vision was taken with a 2/3" CCD block - so the milimetre (mm) figures on the screen are for 2/3". This is the highest res clip I could obtain. Watch it in the high res mode for the best quality.

7-2100mm (2/3" Chip format) = approx 23-7000mm in 35mm format

yeah quality sucks out at 300x i'd rather have and 800 5.6 with an 2x extender. way higher quality with the prime.

Some smart phonnes like the NOKIA N8 can do this ......You can zoom really long distances while the image remains sharp.

@mdeonx16 Actually light has a speed limit. Something from that far away happened 0.00000001 seconds ago. So basically your zooming into the past. HAhahaha
