You obviously have never done any construction work before - the railroad ties should have overlapped, especially at the corners for greater strength. The poles were unnecessary as overlapping railroad ties with spikes driven in would have been much more stable. It also didn't need to be any wider than one railroad tie. One tie across the front will help prevent erosion. Your wall is going to lean & eventually separate, letting the dirt washout between the cracks due to poor construction.
@therugerfan1 if you are out city limits it is legal to have a shooting range or just shooting

I was hoping this would be about building a shooting range in the basement.
