Dana-Farber's patients and families were heavily involved in selecting paintings, sculptures, and photography for the Yawkey Center for Cancer Care in Boston. They also contributed to the design of a peaceful healing garden and a multi-denominational chapel, all intended to bring an atmosphere of calm and tranquility to the often stressful experience of cancer treatment.
