@joeydownfall i loved this episode too, and i love how he laughed quickly, just before dying, looking at "to remember", even if he knew that he was going to die

It actually really got me when Topher died, in the second part of Epitath. It's unfair how he's plays with your emotions but he does it oh so very well :)

I almost cried during this scene in Dollhouse. I cried when Topher gave his life to save everyone else. What a great show <3

Joss always knows how to set the mood with his choice of music. Save for the Buffy episode called "The Body". That music deliberately had no music. He said because music was a comfort for the audience and guided them in how to feel. He said that he wanted that episode to reflect the reality of losing a loved one. Boils down to him saying that there is no comfort in that. You feel what you feel.

I was listening to this song when I heard my cousin had died. It's permanently etched into my mind with its bittersweet beauty.

I love ^^
I honestly believe Epitaph One was one of the most impressive things I have ever seen on tv. Seeing Topher and Dewitt like that was tragic. Whiskey/Saunders dying was surprisingly moving. Joss Whedon is a master, IMO, the greatest television writer of his time. Even with Sci-fi shows he creates great atmosphere, characters you love, a deep story that just draws you in. He may not be the biggest writer ever, but nobody has the devoted fans he does. He's my biggest influence as a writer.

Try "Hazy" by Rosi Golan, or "Lonely Ghosts" by O+S.
I have a feeling you'll like them. :)
