  • Interesting to see Ona Munson eight years before her role as Belle the Brothel Keeper in Gone With the Wind. Interestingly that role was offered first to Tallulah Bankhead who turned it down(she would have been great!!!).

  • My heart squirts? Love it!!!

  • During the War, Ben and Bebe were on the BBC radio with a show called "Hi Gang" with the Jay Wilbur orchestra. But the Lyons main thing in England was "Life with the Lyons", which was on BBC radio and early TV in the 50s. They did two or three films based on Life with the Lyons, featuring their adopted son, and daughter Barbara.

  • AH! Love, Love, Love it!

  • Ben Lyon was also in Howard Hughes production of "Hell's Angels" which also featured Jean Harlowe. Lyon was married to Bebe Daniels, they retired to England, only to star in their own show for BBC "Breakfast with the Lyons" in the 50's. Daniels Uncle was Lee DeForest, major pioneer in Television and sound on film technology for Motion Pictures. IThe inventor of the Orthocon Ray Tube.

  • Thanks for posting..I dig Ben Lyon..
