Local Hero / Wild Theme - Mark Knopfler, a cover

I am re-posting this one, because I had erased by mistake the previous video I had posted of this song from youtube. and I love this Knopfler tune. I don't play it the same way as Knopfler of course, so don't tell me it is not accurate. I know!.

I took the opportunity to show some more angles of my new Strat. I am just loving it, and do here a little tour of my current setup (yes I am a gear-slut, I plead GUILTY). The next addition to my setup is probably going to be a good tube amp, I love VOX so I might get a AC15 or AC30, and just one more pedal, one more???, a good flanger-chorus. Have my eye on the Fulltone ChoralFlange.

For the overdrive part I use a Boss SD-1 that I have modified with a Monte-Allums SD-808 kit, and I think the sound has improved considerably for this pedal. I will post a few videos in the future of pedal modifications I am intending to do. (Did already modify my Boss SD-2, and will modify my EQ, the MXR Dyna Comp and the MXR Phase 90, if you are interested in pedal mods stay tuned...)

Finally, I still love my old yamaha pacifica. It was the first guitar I bought, back in 2007, it did get some use (those frets are worn out!), but I will not give it away. I will keep it and will do some modifications to it (fix those frets, add perhaps some lace sensors like the ones in Johnny Greenwood telecaster, and more ). You may ask why do this to an old and cheap guitar?. This one has sentimental value. It will be my franken-yamaha-pac-strelecaster-plus-copy thing.

Wow dude, u really have progressed, great playing there & fantastic sound, good 2 see u have rewarded yourself with a proper guitar!! Looks lovely u do deserve it after the work u have put it over the past few years but true always keep the guitar u learned on its worth way more than its monetary value. Im very intrigued about your pedal modding u could go on to build your own pedals from scratch, u do have the background skills and potential to do this. Keep up the good work my friend.

@sageguitar70 Yeah, we got pounded, but it was enjoyable to stay at home ;-) The story of this guitar is that I have been looking for a long time for a strat. I must have tried 30 or 40 in different stores, originally wanted to get a maple neck one black body similar to Guilmour. But none that I had tried had me fully convinced me. I picked up this one and it was love at first note. This sounded just exactly like I wanted it, even "rounder" than I imagined, so I got it.
