Are you avoiding the hard part of recovery? Are you restricting just a little? Are you afraid to gain all of the weight necessary to be fully recovered? I did all of these things for a long time. But to find complete freedom from my eating disorder, I had to ultimately face the hard part and move through it. This meant letting go (not knowing how much weight I might gain), having faith (trusting that I'd like recovered life), and jumping (doing whatever it takes to get better). Watch this video to see what I mean.
If you have my new book, "Goodbye Ed, Hello Me," you can read more about jumping on page 53. Read various excerpts from the book here: http://www.jennischaefer.com/hello-excerpts.htm
As noted in the video, the song you hear is "It's Okay to be Happy" (written by my wonderful friends, Dave Berg & Georgia Middleman, and myself). To hear the entire song: http://www.jennischaefer.com/hello-music-okay.htm
(The song is also available on iTunes, Amazon.com, etc.!)
