  • Hi, A question. Is it possible to modify or (0-30MHz) this receiver to listen on HF utility stations.? regards

  • @dann2ptf Thanks! i will look for one!

  • @KC8YOQ -also-my antenna was a 100 ft long wire at my old residence, which is featured in the video. I have since moved (bought a house) and use my ham antenna, which is a 75 meter doublet (The MFJ-1777) It goes thru my ham antenna tuner, which I set to Bypass

  • @KC8YOQ Hi- The FRT -7700 is a little receive tuner fror the 7700-I found it helps eliminate some strong intermod signals on the AM broadcast band. For example, if I tune on a weak station on 640KC, I can still hear a strong local station mixing in from 570 KC. The tuner not only peaks the desired signal, but eliminates the undesired one down band.

  • @dann2ptf What does the FRT do and is it necessary for the 7700 ?

I can't wait to get my antenna up! What antenna are you using?

  • I recently obtained an FRG 7700 with the FRT 7700. Great audio on these ! Great post:
