An affordable, transportable target system is something that every recreational shooter needs, and that's something I've been working on for quite some time. After realizing how easy it was to make my own IPSC targets, I decided that an IPSC compatible stand is what I needed. Drawing inspiration from friends here on youtube (SafeArmsReview, Cr0cket20, and others), I designed the stands you see in this video to have a few key characteristics: These stands are inexpensive to buy and build, easy to assemble and tear back down, modular - so pieces can be replaced as needed, and lastly, lightweight and compact for transport and storage. I fully expect that each one of these stands will give me many years of use, and at under $17 for each one, I highly recommend that you build one too.

  • And to think I was going to go through the trouble to weld a steel stand of almost the same design together...thanks for the video man....really thanks for saving me half my weekend!

  • @762infidel Glad to help.

  • I really like this idea ... a few sand bags for wind resistance and you are set! More people need to watch this. :-)

  • @ZombieTactics Thanks, ZT. It's really just a common-sense, on-the-cheap version of stuff that's already out there, but I'm glad you like it. Sandbags would definitely help (as you'll see in some of the upcoming vids with these), or you could just dig up a few big rocks to weigh them down - as SnowLobo95 and I did.

  • LBS, you do great very professional videos. Great targets, I just wish I had a place like you have to set up run & guns. I am looking forward to your review of your new Glock 34.

  • @dphitch Thanks for watching. Glad you liked it.

  • Very elegant solution. Thanks for the video!

  • Made mine tonight for $13.50 each. Can't wait to try them out this weekend. Thanks for the video!

  • If you lived in the communist state of MA, you'd be limited to 10 round mags but your windshield replacement would have been free. LOL

  • Great video/tutorial!! A great cheap way to make a standup target, unless as you are driving home from Lowes, the long piece of PVC pipe taps your windshield and shatters an area about the size of my open palm... So my $17 pvc target stand turns out to be about a $217 target stand. Shit happens :/... But now I can just shoot my frustrations away at my new target :D

  • Thank you i just made mine and i put your name in the description of my video because you gave me the idea.

  • nice vid. i was just trying to figure out how to make one the hard way. you just simplified it for me. keep up the great work!!

  • Genius idea! Now I can stash it all on a shelf in my garage without taking up any room.

  • Thanks for a great video! Your instructions are clear and simple. I assembled my stand and it looks great; total cost for parts was $15.80.

  • @TheLateBoyScout what size description do i need for cardboard backers as far as 24x 35 etc.. thanks!

  • Thats cheaper than what I thought a target would cost. I could put sand down the legs to hold it in place when shooting it with a .9mm Just a suggestion. That was neat and thanks for showing us how to make them...
