Sorry you feel that way, and I would never use salami. If you haven't tried it, don't knock it. This is an old family recipe that has been enjoyed by all that have eaten.

Don't think I'm being rude Mrs Di Modica when I say this but i've lived in Sicily for the past thirty years and that pasta al forno looks quite revolting and have never seen it made this way. Must be an American made up recipe for sure, You sure that sausage isn't salame

@alnicov2001 quella che mette lei è ricotta fresca. E NO. La ricotta che AL LIMITE si potrebbe mettere è la Ricotta Salata, delle provincie di Catania, Ragusa e Siracusa. Ma lei mette ricotta fresca. E nella pasta al forno non ci va. Avesse fatto pasta condita SOLO con ricotta parmigiano e cannella sarebbe andato bene. ma la ricotta nella pasta al forno?

@Ciccioct91 Non fare il solito italiota schizinoso, è una cosa tipicamente siciliana mettere la ricotta nella pasta, non si parla della ricotta " da supermercato ", ma di quella salata e generalmente di pecora ;)
