it was a little low but then again, any landing where there is no damage is a good landing. one time i flew against a japanese battleship with an SBD-5 and was shot to hell but made it back with about 50% power cuz they hit my engine

The bigger the plane, the easier the landing is only true because the pilot handles larger birds more slowly and deliberately. With small agile planes it is much more tempting to try to force it down even if high and fast. Landing a B-17 or 737 is easier than an F-16 or F4 because you don't get cocky.
