  • Unique!!!!!

  • Apparently the guys from Sun City Girls performed on a couple of tracks. This music is more fundamentally the product of this manneristic modern band though. But I agree that the "hipster" comment was pointless, I sort of spewed that on the spot out of my disgust. "X-box Generation" adequately portrays a lot that is fucked up about my generation. Apparently you actually think "hipster" can be applied to the use of that phrase, or more likely you are using it in the same haphazard way I was.

  • @KingCrimson776 LOL @ calling this hipster in any way. No problem with you not liking this, we all have different tastes and that's cool, but at least look into the history of the musicians you're talking about first. Bishop and Gocher are from Sun City Girls, which started in the early 80's. Bishop also started Sublime Frequencies, which puts out foreign music and DVDs, especially from the Middle East , Africa and Asia. They are surely less hipster than anyone using the term "X-Box Generation".

  • some music can be analysed and picked apart I suppose- but I enjoy this as background music- It chills me out.

  • @Hellishhorse It doesn't really matter how mainstream it is, this is just rather artificial sounding. It superficially resembles a "spiritual mantra" bursting with ecstasy, but it's all very meta. Nothing is real anymore.

But yeah, Gentle Giant is great, they were true originals. Their fusion of avantgarde classical, jazz and pop/rock is some of the most unique music of the 20th Century.

  • Really?!.......can't see the "xbox generation" being into this........hiphop gangster [c] rap perhaps!.....what is the non- xbox generation listening to I wonder?- [ wasting my life fighting little imaginary soldiers or monsters is not my thing at all- at present I'm blasting out Gentle Giant; is that O.K?].

  • It's a slight variation on an eastern mantra, with folksy guitars and hipsters yelling over it... not remotely groundbreaking. This is "spiritual" music for the xbox generation.

  • Sick concert!

  • wow, seeing these guys tonight they are the opener....this should be good...rollin up some for this fo sho!

  • listening to this while smoking with hookah really makes you feel as if you were in egypt or something. Simply amazing stuff.
