If you go to Bangalore chances are you might overlook Malleswaram Market since it is not in central or South Bangalore. Malleswaram is one of the oldest neighborhoods in Bangalore and the main drag called Sampige Road is an absolute delight to explore.

In this video clip that is partly in Tamil and English, Mr. Thangavel talks about his 42 year fruit stand in Malleswaram and the various countries from where he gets his fruits.

  • Most vendors in bangalore are tamils only, what do you do about that? I am a Bangalorean for 40 years. People with strong regional passions do not labor classunderstand the reasons..there are very few kannadigas in labor class most are middle class to upper middle class employed people. Vendors and laboror work very hard for their living and have lived in the city for years. Cities are multicutlural..there are lots of other languag people in chennai also. Get a life please and move on.

  • This is Bangalore and both should have a least courtesy to speak in Kannada as it is the offical language of the state.

  • again as in the other videos from this lady...talking in Tamil.. and in reply ot sridinsky s comment... we are not insecure about our identity ..we just love our language and passionate about Kannada as are Bengali, Marathi, Gujarati and especially tamilians... and when u call someone a chuttiya,u shod know that even others can give u words like behan chod or even lolo... u know what i m gonna say ..now dont you?

  • damn, i know this guy, wen i was in india..i used to go here...nice to see him

  • check your facts before you say hindi is national language.Indian constitution recognises 22 languages as national language.its high time you got to know about this! duh!

  • I live in Malleswaram !! I go to this place every week !

  • So whereever you are r, u got to speak that language? Sounds stupid to me. Why all kanadigas are worried about loosing their identity. Insecured abt their language, place, water. Chuttiyas

  • cool down bro!

  • i feel one cant take the point somebody made above abt Kannada speech in TamilNadu that lightly..

  • I think just to make communication simpler she got across a Tamil fruit seller, ideally what should have been done could have been get somebody to volunteer for Kannada translation.
